Dublin Bus has officially discontinued its real-time app on May 23, 2023, urging commuters to switch to the recently launched TFI Live app.
The transition comes as the Dublin Bus app had not been updated in over six years and has been removed from both Apple and Android platforms. In a statement released by a Dublin Bus spokesperson, they confirmed, “The TFI Live app will be the only app for up-to-date reliable information, and we are pleased to be supporting one public transport app.”
The TFI Live app, developed by the National Transport Authority, provides real-time departure and journey planning information across the Transport for Ireland network. Key features of the app include access to real-time departure information for Bus Éireann, Dublin Bus, Go Ahead Ireland, Luas, and Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail services; route navigation by selecting origin and destination; timetable and map searches; and the ability to save favorite journeys, departures, and timetables
